affects us all.

Prof.
Sarah Bracking will present on ‘Unresolved Issues Concerning the Dig-Out Port’s
Economic Impact’. She will be joined by Desmond D’Sa of the South Durban
Community Environmental Alliance.

Marc
Descoins, Programme Director of the Durban Dig-out Port for Transnet’s Group
Planning and Sustainability Division, will give an overview of Transnet’s plans
and timeframes for the construction of the Dig-out Port.
Sarah Bracking is
based in International Development at the School of Environment and
Development at the University of Manchester. She teaches Politics and
Development and has done extensive research in African and other countries on
developmental issues, particularly with reference to Southern Africa.
Prof. Bracking originally gave this presentation at the Durban Chamber of
Commerce in July.
