We have posted an additional picture to show how great a problem Litsea is as an invasive. Very little else can compete. It is best to remove Litsea before it sets seed and becomes a food source for birds and spreads far and wide. Litsea glutinosa (commonly known as the Indian Laurel, Indiese lourier or ukwatapheya-mbumbulu), is self seeding in huge numbers in warmer sections of KZN.
