Clean Up Pigeon Valley | Saturday 5th July from 09:30 to 10:30.

Families are invited for a one-hour clean-up in Pigeon Valley on Saturday 5th July from 09:30 to 10:30.  

The reasons are that the undergrowth has died back a lot, revealing litter that had been thrown into it, and also that the recent rain brought down a lot of litter onto the main track.  I am suggesting that we work in small groups to pick up the litter visible near the tracks or on the tracks themselves.

This is a great opportunity to get young people into the reserve so that they become more familiar with nature.

The management are happy with this, and are providing refuse bags for the event.

You may wish to bring gloves, and I would suggest not evening wear, but there are otherwise no major requirements.
