Richard
Boon is manager of the biodiversity planning branch
in the Environmental Planning and Climate Protection Department of the
eThekwini Municipality, where he has worked for 13 years. Prior to working for
the Municipality, he worked for Wildlife and Environment Society of South
Africa (WESSA) and taught environmental education with the provincial education
department. Richard is a trained biologist with an M.Sc. and is a keen botanist
with nearly 30 years of field experience. A past chairman of the Botanical
Society of SA, KZN branch, he is a keen plant and nature photographer.
